From more than a decade experience in IT and technology, I want to tag this company was my worst experience.
Pros
Good perks and salaries. This company will correct your compensation, if you are at low compensation in market.
Cons
Directors and managers focus solely on upper management, showing little concern for the employees working on the ground. Leadership in Toronto tends to treat Indian employees as second-class citizens. Project timelines depend on the boss’s mood. Even if you present a realistic plan to complete the project in 4-5 months, management might insist on finishing it in 1.5-2 months. Terminations are not based on your performance; they are influenced by the boss's personal preferences. In Mumbai, you are required to start during your local shift and continue until the end of Toronto's shift. Despite raising this issue with management and HR for 2.5 years, no solution has been provided. This often leads to 12-13 hour workdays, with management sometimes stating, 'That's why we pay you more.' There is no work-life balance; I couldn't manage to work out either in the morning or the evening. I never received any recognition, despite delivering all projects on time. I was even subject to management’s criticism after successful deliveries or proper planning. The Toronto team often takes over a task just before delivery to claim it as part of their success story. There is no clear communication from management regarding terminations, project timelines, or business decisions, despite the company's claims of being 'transparent.' On a daily basis, 30-40% of your time is spent dealing with a toxic work environment and office politics, 40% is focused on managing the development platform and infrastructure, leaving only 20% of your time for actual productive work.
