Pros

Free Snacks coworkers beside upper management are great occasional free lunch and company outings

Cons

Where do I begin? This company goes by many names CRI Genetics, CRI Naturals, TH Genesis. THE LOCATION: Located in Venice beach in a super tight and cramped office. Poorly insulated so in the summer it's hot and in the winter it's cold. There is no parking at all unless you want to pay 5 dollars daily or try your luck parking far away and walking. The guys who own this company are super high and happy that they have an "office" on the beachfront. But it's super impractical. Many employees have spoken about this issue or brought it up and simply get a reply "you can't beat that view"... uh yeah no. UPPER MANAGEMENT: This company lives by “5 pillars” or 5 key values that preach the company’s overall message. One of those being INTEGRITY, which honestly is a complete joke. This company has gotten to where they are by doing shady black cat technique and without going into too many details, they by no means have done things by the book. There is no structure at all, most of the time you will be dealing directly with one of the guys who own the company and no manager at all, and then next week dealing with someone directly. “upper management” has no clue what they are doing, none of them have any training or have experience as a manager at any capacity. Yet these are the guys in control of what you're doing. Don’t be surprised if you are hired to do a specific job which then turns into you doing multiple jobs yet you’ll be compensated for just one. Sure I know this is common in a “start-up “ but the pay here is generally pretty low compared to industry standards and also sometimes there will really be no reason to the madness of what your being told to do. OWNERS: These guys have no idea what they’re doing, and it shows. They will lure you in with talks of company culture and how “we leave our egos at the door” but in fact, it’s the complete opposite. You will be pulled into countless meetings trying to pitch new ideas when in reality it doesn’t matter because these guys are going do exactly what they want even if its not the best idea. They will give a lot of backhand compliments that make you feel small or belittled. Instead of listening to people that they hire for a specific job they rather just be told their idea is good and let's go with that. I’ve seen them completely ignore employees who were very experienced in their positions be turned away or denied because of this. The sad part is this company is in a spot where it needs to make a jump but never will because the guys who own it are so oblivious to what’s going on that they truly believe they are doing a great job . These guy have no experience running a business, no experience dealing with workplace conflict, or how to put they personal feelings and “egos” aside and sometimes accept that their wrong. HIGH TURNOVER: Saw someone mention it’s a revolving door that’s pretty accurate while I was there in a 6 months time I saw more then half the company leave or get fired. Sure some people deserved to get let go , but I also saw great talent walk out the door and leave because they were smart enough to recognize what was going on. COMPENSATION: Upper management is paid well, but chances are you will not. Most starting wages are considered low for the industry and will leverage “Raises” which are non-existent to compensate for that. Most of the employees are younger and fresh out of school which makes sense, But even for a starting position or entry-level, you're better of going somewhere else and getting better experience then learning here. FINAL THOUGHTS: I wrote this because I don’t hardworking talented people to fall for smoke and mirrors that might be put in front of you to get you to work here. Also it very clear that the “positive reviews” were all written by current employees on the same day… SO like I said think hard before you decide to work here.
