Pros

My only pro was I met a few very nice people during my brief time there.

Cons

They allow some of their partners to be hostile. I thought I was back in 1984. Two weeks in, I couldn't believe the job I had accepted. I was appalled at the behavior that is allowed towards other employees and quite frankly, anyone in their path. I was asked to please reconsider staying. . . what sane person would want to be surrounded by this?

Pros

Salary and PTO. Benefits are there but very deceiving as their most expensive plan does not provide coverage comparable to other plans in larger environments so essentially you are paying a lot in monthly premium, deductibles, copays for specialists, pharmacy and dental. Ortho is listed but cannot be used unless you go to in network provider. Vision is decent. But this is not an issue for everyone therefore under Pros.

Cons

Management lies and makes everything (I mean it!) a personal issue encouraging many colleagues to talk badly about others, creating a hostile environment. Imagine what a daycare would be like without professional adult supervision where a bunch of entitled brats without self control were in charge......(pause here for you to envision this)....... that’s exactly how it seems. Bad management has a domino effect. Wearing a suit does not make a manager. These bad managers hire friends and family with limited ability to think, who naturally feel entitled as they have the manager’s backup to continue subpar performance hindering the few skilled workers’ progress. For a firm with just about 500 people in NY, to see so many smart individuals come and go over time on a weekly basis is disheartening. They are misled, misinformed and miserable so they go elsewhere.

Pros

I had a competitive salary, great benefits, and ample paid time off. I met some very kind and brilliant people and strengthened my skills set. The firm is well known in the area and looks good on a resume.

Cons

Being available for some overtime does not mean being expected to be at your partner's beck and call at any hour of the day. Work/life balance was terrible. Office politics were equally terrible. In the end, the trust I had given the firm was shattered.
