- The technology side of the business is not emphasized, all groups within technology operate extremely lean and are asked to do a lot.
- Culture of exclusivity rather than inclusivity. There is an archetype that will be happy and successful. Unfortunately, if you fall outside of that it will be a bit of a rough going.
- Professional Development/Career paths are under developed. I constantly asked "What do I need to do to have a bigger role in the company?" Was told often that it was coming soon, and soon never came.
- The contrast between the work culture and the "fun" culture is jarring. It leads to awkward company meetings/events where people are unsure of how open they should be.
- Plenty of corporate nepotism, a specific background is valued.
- You'll be asked to do "extra," if you accept it becomes more work for you to do in the future. If you refuse, you're seen as "lazy." It is a scenario where you rarely win.
