Pros
Decent pay, remote, low expectations. Good on resume, and exposure to Blockchain. It has promise, but many things have to change.
Cons
Most of the folks seem to not understand what they should be doing and/or blindly follow IOHK's lead. You might sit and do nothing for months without getting feedback regarding what you should be doing.
Pros
- Work remotely - Opportunity to travel - Attractive industry and space
Cons
- Very Swiss centric - No operational leadership - No clear boundaries between teams and lots of in-fighting - Very poor pay - Managers don't have skills or experience to lead and nurture teams - No implementation plan - too much focus on vision / strategy - Lack of experienced individuals - Producing tech to compete with community projects - C-suite in ivory towers, rarely speak to lowly doers in the teams - No commercial awareness for doing deal-making to really support projects in Cardano - Very political relationship between other Cardano entities (Input Output and Emurgo)
Pros
At the Cardano Foundation, you get to work with some of the most passionate people of your career while also working at the cutting edge of technology and innovation. The work is interesting, the pay is good, and the benefits are excellent also.
Cons
The Foundation has grown rapidly in recent times, which can come with some growing pains. I'm finding that an enjoyable challenge as there is a lot of scope to implement new processes and ideas; for those who prefer something a bit more structured and well established, I could imagine that could be frustrated.
