Pros

They make a product that significantly helps the lives of a special segment of the population, and they do strive to send the best product possible. The benefits are pretty good, but family medical coverage can get expensive. If this were written even just a few years ago, I would have so much more to say here.

Cons

This is a manufacturing company run by people who clearly have no understanding of manufacturing principles. If they don't know it or don't understand it, then it is of no value to them. Needless to say, there are a lot of good ideas from good people that get turned down. The result is a company that's walking around like it has one foot nailed to the floor. Particular top managers have little regard for the people who work under them and their only interest is their own. Pay is low comparatively speaking, and the chance for career advancement and the ability to introduce new concepts and ideas is virtually non-existent. Perhaps this is the reason that so many key people have left the company over the last few months. The saddest part is that just a few years ago, this was not the case. DAFO was a place where employees ideas and suggestions for improvements were valued, and things moved forward. Now it's just shut up and do what we tell you to do.

Worst leadership team in Whatcom County They are more concerned about there morning coffee or doing a little dance than they are their people The weakest link is at the top, trickling down horrible leadership They will actually give you Leadership training and the turn around and do the exact opposite of what they just trained you to do. No support. Employees don't no where to go for help. HR is known to not be of help and bias towards the opinions of the executive team. Executive team is comprised of more people than needed. The only reason this company hasn't gone under is due to the fact that their customers are disabled children. The more the population grows, unfortunately, the more disabled children there will be, increasing the profits and filling the pockets of mainly the top leadership. They actually use the excuse that they don't pay much because of the fact they are helping disabled kids live a healthy happier life. I guess I could say that to for the amount of profit this company makes and how little the common worker is paid. Fixed pay scale. 5 raises at 3 percent max (if you are approved of that much). Not much future there.
