Pros

The company stays busy but that's about it.

Cons

Company continuously states they care about the employee which is a complete and utter lie! They care about profit ONLY and have slashed away at what the employees have had with an absolute minimal return and bogus promises. Not a penny raise in almost 5 years with this company after I have worked a total of 25 years in the industry. I am going backwards in my career at this point. A recent survey that had been offered by the company and anonymously compiled was nothing short of shocking and should be an absolute wake up call to the management. I do not see anything changing for the future other than more ridiculous policies and losing monetary ground as an employee.

Thank you for your feedback. I hope that you feel that some of the actions we took this year, )increasing the 401k match, reducing medical costs) show signs that we are listening. These were the 2 biggest concerns our employees had and the company invested close to $1MM to make them better. The employe survey did provide very valuable and in some cases humbling insights. John Cowdery provided a high level overview of the results as well as some of the actions the company is taking to improve employee engagement. We have recently presented more detailed findings to the next 2 levels of management and will be presenting to the Ops Mgrs soon. One of the outcomes from the survey will be a managers HR guide, which will provide guidance on some the tools our managers have at their disposal to be leaders. this will include career paths, career conversation guides, performance management and a lot of other resources. You also mentioned that you have not had an increase in almost 5 years - have you spoken to your manager or VP, Ops? Please call me, so I can look into this for you.

Pros

There are some really hard working people at the Cascade companies. They really care about each other and do what they can to make it a better place to be. The office gals really look after us as good as they can. The work schedule can be flexible, depending on the type of work you do or the office you work for. If you want to have a title of Director, this might be a good place for you to work. They make everyone a director of something.

Cons

-There are no cost of living increases. Ever. There's a previous response to an employee review on here who brought up they hadn't had one in 5 years. If you valued your employees the response would have been a good hard look at compensation programs but instead youll.only.look if someone goes to you begging. -Management says they care about employees but rumor is they want to cut our already low pay and only pay travel at $15 per hour. If you think you're going to keep employees and cut our pay you might want to rethink that. -I've asked about our fringe pay on prevailing wage jobs and told the system doesn't show how it is calculated. Maybe it's time for a new system that will pay us right because I'm not sure we are paid right and I don't trust the answers since they can't show me how it's done. -Bills don't get paid. We need supplies and are constantly shut off by suppliers because we don't pay our bills. We get told we can't use local companies and have to use the ones they make deals with but it takes longer to get the supplies we really needed today. -We get a total of 7 paid holiday. I guess the way this place is run we should be glad to get any, but when we are working next to a crew from another company getting overtime or double time for working on Christmas Eve or New Years Eve and we just get paid straight time it's hard to remember to be thankful.

Thank you for your comments and feedback. I completely agree with you that we have a lot of people who care about the company as well as each other. That is part of the culture who strive for. We do in fact give salary increases which are based on individual performance, rather than a cost of living increase to everybody. We believe that higher performing employees should receive a higher increase. I would be interested in hearing more on how we can become a company of choice to our employees. Feel free to contact myself at any time. You will also begin to see some program changes that are a direct result of the employee survey in 2020.

Pros

It's a pay check that isn't really great. The benefits of the 401k is still around but is an extremely small company match. Lunch is a nice treat from time to time.

Cons

Another round of layoffs. Morale is a all time low. The inability to collect cash fast enough is creating our lack to pay our vendors timely. Our middle managers lacks sufficiently interpersonal skill. The company has corporate managers that are toxic. They act as if they are caring, but back stab plenty and create a very bad working environment from the top down.

Thank you for your feedback. With our new CEO, John Cowdery, on board we are continuing to focus on employee engagement. Our goal is to be an employer of choice and provide our employees with a great work environment and opportunities to grow. We continually review our benefits and strive to improve our programs. In fact, as you may recall, we announced a potential discretionary 401(k) match if the Company achieves financial goals in 2018. With regard to your advice to management on vendor payments, we have always and continue to pay our vendors. Thank you again for your direct feedback. I have an open door policy and welcome additional conversations with you. Ken Moses EVP, HR
