Amazing agency & culture

Pros

Smallish agency with biggish clients provides new opportunities everyday to try new things, learn new techniques, and work alongside some of the sharpest people in marketing. I learned more in 6 months at C-22 than I did in 4 years of college. Every staff member has a chance to work on amazing products and help develop marketing strategies for some of the country’s more recognized brands. Talented staff and compassionate leadership. The quality standard is set high, which some have had trouble adjusting to. Perfection isn’t expected, but 100% effort is. Personally I had no issue whatsoever pursuing excellence. Great teammates who genuinely care about each other. I left the agency to tend to a family situation, and honestly I miss the culture, camaraderie, and creatively – all on display every day.

Cons

Not so much a gripe as it is just blowing steam. Everyone in agency life resents having to track work time. It’s a pain, but it’s the only way to bill clients. It’s SOP for marketing agencies, and if you want to work in an agency, accept it and keep being creative.

Pros

Working at C22 is a fun mix of camaraderie, collaboration and creativity. The energy is positive and lighthearted. There’s always room for a good laugh or a quick joke but when it’s time to get things done, the team is all in and ready to deliver. There’s a variety of clients and projects that keep things fresh and interesting. Super collaborative environment – you’re never left to figure things out on your own. Whether it’s brainstorming ideas or solving a problem, everyone is willing to share their expertise or lend a hand. Leadership is open to exploring new ideas, but they also understand the importance of prioritizing client goals and bringing their vision to life. Despite being a small team, there’s plenty of opportunity for growth. If there’s something you’re passionate about or want to learn, leadership is supportive and will do what they can to help get you involved. Good work-life balance with flexibility to work remotely 4 days and 1 day in the office as a team (plus free lunch!)

Cons

A con of any agency is timesheets, the bane of our existence :)

Terrible CEO/Manager

Pros

Work from home 4 days a week is great.

Cons

Terrible CEO/manager. She’s always “too busy” to train new employees and has the ‘figure it out’ attitude accept if you ‘figure it out’ she micromanages you endlessly. She ridicules you publicly in front of the entire office and offers no positive feedback ever. There’s also a time management system where you have to record every minute of your day which she will constantly question. Very stressful and unhealthy environment.
