Pros

You can wear whatever you like, and you can bring your dog to work. But you will work such horrendous hours and barely be able to even take them out so it is pointless bringing them to work and torturing them.

Cons

Where do I begin. I work in the Department of Joke known as Marketing and the executive leadership is unqualified in marketing strategy, and even worst at EMPLOYEE relations. They manage a team of 30+ people. These are people's livelihoods, who they work hard to maintain. They mess around with this as they please with intimidation and false blame. Your job is ALWAYS under threat. You will never ever feel comfortable here. There is this whole thing about 'accountability' by employees at the bottom. Only people who ever get fired are employees in coordinator and manager levels. One would wonder how the executive leadership seems to always get away with having any type of accountability and these people working their lives away, who were not trained, overworked and underpaid are fired the instant they make a mistake or 'fail' at something in their eyes. They dont explain job duties well, so best is to assume you have to just do everything. What is everything you ask... well anything they seem to 'fit' in a role as they please. They fire people and give people warnings and threaten their jobs on a daily basis. People who work here especially in marketing work to just keep their job till they find something else. People who work here are terrified of speaking up because if you do, first they don't care and they don't listen to anything you have to say and second they will now do everything in their power to get rid of you because how they fix a problem is by getting rid of the people who voice their concerns not really ever fixing the problem. The problem always continues and often worsens. This is how the cycle of poor management and horrible treatment continues. This is also why there is such a high level of turnover. They will say it is normal for the marketing and advertising industry. I have been in this industry for many, many years, and let me tell you although people may not be employed at the same position for 3+ years in this industry, it is NOT normal for people to just walk out of their job because of mismanagement and poor treatment of employees. I have seen over 5 people just walk out without another job to go to. This is normal here. People quit faster than they can replace them. There is no investment in taking care of employees. Also the vacation policy is ineffective because although they let you take as much time as you want, you are so busy and over worked you will not be able to ever take time off. So when you quit or you are fired, they don't have to pay you anything. Honestly, they violate so many employee/labor laws that it is SHOCKING no one has filed a suit yet. Most people just focus on getting out and endure the painful mistreatment and just deal with it. Horrible horrible place. They have been making less and less money over time and the beneficiaries are worried because of the mistakes that happen OFTEN. Like I said earlier these mistakes happen because everything is rushed, there is NO MARKETING PLAN (and they are a client focused agency?!) and people are not trained. The mentality is EVERYONE is replaceable. This maybe acceptable in a high volume sales driven environment, not somewhere that requires employees to think before they do their job and strategically make the best call. I mean that is why they are employed correct????! Not here. So do your self a big favor, if you are offered a job in marketing PLEASE DO NOT TAKE IT. NO matter the pay. LA has many great opportunities and my greatest regret in life is making the decision to work at this hell of a company. Also another matter worthy of noting is this place is RACIST. Directors walk around making absurdly racist comments to employees (employees of color mind you) and when you file a complaint about it nothing is addressed. Everything is diverted to an external HR company, who do the BARE MINIMUM to just get things over and done with. NO follow up, No disciplinary action, not even the minimum standard of care required by law when it comes to harassment. Basically all these complaints people made of blatant racism has been ignored and sent to never ever land.

Pros

You can bring your dog in if you have one.

Cons

Being in a working environment like this is just heart breaking. From the lack of empathy towards employees who have the desire to improve their skills, the blame-game and constant firing of those who aren't properly trained, to the blatant RACISM that is practiced as a part of this company's culture, let me tell you, it is just exhausting. They seem to think that telling employees "LOOK AT ALL THE GREAT WORK YOU ARE DOING TO FIGHT CANCER" will have the same effect as it does with event participants. This is the only type of encouragement they even try to offer. They aren't internal leaders, so this is the only type of speech they are prepared to give. Raises and Reviews don't really exist. Also, as much as I hate to pull the race card, There are no people of color at the upper-management level. I have seen under-qualified (non-ethnic) employees sneakily hired externally into management, without mention of the opportunity to coordinators that have made significant impacts in their group. They will tell you that they are a very diverse company, which they are! But all the 'diversity' is at the bottom, and conveniently they are kept there because no one feels "comfortable" promoting them. Meanwhile directors dance around their own racist comments about chicken and big lips in front of black employees. I am sorry to the viewers that this is an actual truth. There are many things wrong with this company on top of their ignorance, lack of a marketing plan, and disorganization, but I must confess that nothing hurts worse than being treated poorly by a group of people that are supposed to inspire you to do a stellar job. It's quite interesting that a company that thrives on doing such "amazing" things for the world can have such a negative impact on the lives of the people who work hard to make the dream come alive.

Pros

You can bring your dog. Free parking provided.

Cons

All other things. Unceremoniously firing of many employees. No warnings just firings. This place is a sinking ship and will only get worse. I worked here for 2 years. And in those 2 years, I was bullied, ignored (only when they weren't stealing all my ideas), under valued, and treated like I was a child. When in reality I had more experience and know-how that most the management.
