Pros

Stable employment where you're given the opportunity to work with a variety of specialties in Ophthalmology from general to Retina to up and coming technology with research. You are placed based on your skills, whether it be reception, clinical, diagnostic testing, billing, EMR, etc. You're also given the opportunity to train in other areas of the practice. If you find you wish to be placed in a different department-supervisors are very flexible. Supervisors are generally flexible when it comes to vacation, sick days (which is 2 weeks paid after 1 year & 3 weeks paid after 5 years of employment/ sick hrs are calculated for each day you work) If necessary an employee can "borrow" time from an upcoming year-should an emergency occur. Some holidays paid. Health Insurance Provided. One hour lunch mandatory unless, permission from supervisor. Two locations.

Cons

Health Insurance very expensive unless you're single/ no dependents. No 401k. Raises are minimal and said to be based on the company's revenues. Not much room for financial growth.
