Pros

The best development shop in Nashville. People are awesome - the community of workers are great and make you feel like a family. R.O.W.E. is extremely convenient. I loved the flexibility to work from home or a coffeeshop any time i wanted.

Cons

Would be nice to have a hierarchy for promotions and growth as a designer – design is undervalued.

Good advice. As we grow our product marketing service lines, design will be a critical factor and will grow in importance. Our roots are mostly technical, thus our clients still hire us for those types of projects. As for opportunities to promote, that will continue to be hard since we're a small boutique team :) We toyed with creating lots of arbitrary levels to give the illusion of promotions - but then figured it was disingenuous.

Pros

Some of the smartest people I've ever met. Lots of challenging projects. Strong focus on culture and helping people learn/grow.

Cons

Can't control types of projects & clients can be mean. ROWE is good, but office is sometimes lonely

Pros

There's never a shortage of opportunities for personal/professional growth at CS, because the company is constantly having to adapt and absorb new technology -- web development and strategy are not markets where a company can afford to rest on its laurels. Very few people come away from their experience at Centresource without having learned a ton. Owing to its size (not too big), the atmosphere is familial, so there's a laidback and comfortable feel..

Cons

Workload varies, and can be intense at times. The initial ramp-up to the expected knowledge and skill level can be stressful. The intensity and variability of the workload means that it's not a company for everyone.. People that are accustomed to a very regimented and static routine (typically at larger companies) will typically have more trouble adapting at first.
