Pros

Excellent benefits. Fun in house events. Interesting industry and products if it ever takes off.

Cons

The company has been downsizing every year since 2008. Moral is low and there is a clear divide between the management and the rest of the company.

Pros

innovative team, technically sound and very energetic research and development group. teams are involved less in meetings and more in devising experiments.

Cons

too much politics by management. too many lay offs. management doesn't even know why they had to layoff people. pay is not good.

Pros

Flexible work-life. Ability to work fully remotely or go into offices in Boston and SF. Most middle managers are strong leaders and there are a number of brilliant directors (under middle managers) across the org, who bring critical subject matter expertise and drive strategy development.

Cons

Senior management lacks vision, creativity, and communication skills to lead organization through politically challenging times. Most senior leaders have been at the org for 10+ years and lack the financial background to steer strategy development and speak to the firm's tagline: "sustainability is the bottom line." Fail to invest in talent, both through salaries and training.
