    Pros

    Good salary in comparing other cosmetic stores. Products given to employee quarterly for their personal use.

    Cons

    Unclear and hidden monthly target achievement schemes ( incentive ) policy, Holiday policy. No one from HR ( Chanel ) to reach out to ( only HR from 3rd party who has not so power over anything ). non structural management and biased environment. No performance reviews on quarterly, half yearly basis done. ( hence no constructive feedback only pointing out mistakes sort of feedback )

    Advice to Management

    You won't know why your employees are so unhappy,demotivated and moving on. If you continue to turn blind eye on employees grievances and let 1 person to call the shots for entire country. ( get a look into employee related matters by HR). Create an structural, fair and diverse working culture. Practice speaking at least English rather speaking French ( among each other on employees and stores subjects ) in India during...

    Pros

    They care about their employees and their wellbeing and try to encourage a good work life balance. They also provide many employee benefits and a very fair pay.

    Cons

    No cons I can think of spontaneously.

    Advice to Management

    Sometimes I hear from interns that they do not feel included enough within the tasks of their superiors and in team building activities. They also receive less benefits.

    Amazing staff perks, looks really good on your cv.

    Cons

    Don’t get any kind of support of area managers, they don’t give praise or thanks when doing well. They expect the world and give nothing back! Micro managed even down to the rota, you can’t be a your own manager, Chanel need to grow with the times and let managers actually manage.

    Advice to Management

    Treat the staff as you wish to be treated, you fail to realise that the ones on the shop floor are the ones that are taking the money and don’t get the same kind of benefits the area managers and higher get. Maybe support more on the shop floor and give thanks and praise when doing well instead of trying to micro manage and pick faults all the time.

    Advice to Management

    Take a hard look at the issues going on within a boutique. If there are reoccurring complaints, it might be because of management. There's no accountability, as I saw many HR complaints be filed and nothing was evidently handled. The disconnect between corporate and retail levels fosters a hostile environment, particularly for support and sales teams.
