Pros

On the surface level, this is a fun, youthful and open minded company that focuses on cultivating a company culture of can-doers and always-happy people pleasers. There are many perks to working at Chasse, you generally have total freedom over what you do and to take on as much, or as little, responsibility as you want, there are constant happy hours, company wide and family events, all the booze and snacks you could desire, and even an all expenses paid annual company retreat! For the most part your coworkers are pleasant and foster an environment of team work and "fun." Also, you can take almost unlimited vacation days, they say two-weeks when you're hired, but then they say "work hard, play hard - we know you put in the hours during the busy days, so make sure to take some time off when you aren't swamped." Pretty neat!

Cons

But the flip side to that, is you better be working some serious over time to take advantage of that, early mornings, late nights, weekends, what ever it takes to get the job done! They scream culture and a fun attitude, so if you're not the type of person to put on a happy face 24/7, then you are going to run into some road blocks with the hire ups. The major con to employment at Chasse is there is no transparency from the leadership, even the supposed leadership team is kept secret, no one really knows who's in charge or who to go to if there is an issue or questions. As far as the truth of their culture, it is very clique oriented, if you were one of the founding employees, you've probably got it made, but anyone else is just an outsider, and even when you make it a few steps closer, you'll be blindsided. However, I've seen several founding employees get pushed out faster than construction of a tilt up single story building addition. This only feeds into the serious amount of pent up tension that is very unspoken, but very evident. In the position that I held, I was spoke with a lot of new hires and even employees who were there for a few years, and many of them were frustrated by the secretive and clique-ish atmosphere. They wanted to jump all in and be a part of this "great team" but any time they took initiative they were knocked down or even reprimanded. There's really no support for new ideas unless it comes from one of the secret leaders. If you suggest something, they are very hesitant to pursue or support you, they put all liability and risk on the individual if it's new or a different approach. Additionally, they say that they operate with no titles, which again only fuels the confusion, but don't plan on getting a promotion, mostly because there's really no avenue for growth or career development. If you can get satisfaction from just being a surface level employee with a happy-go-lucky attitude and have no desire to take ownership of your position and don't want to invest in a career and just want to get a paycheck, then you'll love working here. If you want to any resemblance of ownership and a sense of meaning in your role and commitment to the company, then you're better off pursuing another company.

Pros

Most of the team was friendly, and, lots of in house happy hours. The attitude seems friendly, on the surface, lots of snarky attitudes.

Cons

Quickly true colors come through. CEO, is very condescending and harsh. Likes to make sure fridge and pantry is stocked...with liquor! constantly discouraging change, encourages the normal, past, not working or my way or the highway attitude. LOTS OF TURNOVER...
