Typical Chinese Culture

Nothing comes to mind, but let's just say that there ain't any silver lining to this dark cloud.

Cons

Well, let me just say that if you don't know what Chinese culture means, stay the hell away. Join this company only if you are in dire need of job. There is absolutely no other reason for working in this company. Ethics, be it in doing business or work culture has absolutely no place in this company. Hiring and firing are a routine affair. They can hire 20 folks in a month and fire all of them a couple of months later. Short term planning stands for 2 weeks, long term planning is for 2 months. There is a servile attitude towards seniors, literally no scope for dissent.

Pros

- Hardworking people, this really helps you to do more when they are ready to help you at any point of time. - Not much of politics - Much organised than other Chinese companies

Cons

- Believes too much on data, this rolls out all innovation possibilities as they look for reference ( competitor's work) - If you can't speak local language ( Mandarin ) be ready to get instructions on what to do next or final to-do , you cant be part of any discussion. - Lack of understanding ( Global market is different from Chinese which they don't get it ) - No clear strategy. Well this is common with most of the Chinese units. - Too much of money is spent on marketing - They mostly believe in Spray and Pray method. - And the worst is, your role will keep changing. So if you agree to the new role which is offered you are there else you have a month to leave. - Hire staff & then don't give them work for months and then layoff under a pretext of "Change is company's strategy and you are not required anymore"
