Pros

Decent benefits package, relatively flexible schedule, very tech-forward company that reinvests in its equipment (phone, iPad, computer, delivery trucks, etc.), company hosts fun events that are family friendly.

Cons

Top-heavy organization (too many chiefs, not enough indians) that over-complicates the organization (very difficult to get anything done). Chesbay is a trucking company that just happens to deliver beer. In a customer service centric business, this company could care less about meeting the needs of customers. Constant pressure on sales staff to meet quotas (exceedingly difficult because management constantly increases prices, making it nearly impossible to be competitive at retail). Growing rift between sales and operations, because drivers are not required to fill shelves, and are not held accountable for not meeting their responsibilities (if they do not rotate product, repeatedly ignore invoice comments, or disrespect customers, they face no consequences). Furthermore, the Account Manager (sales rep) must compensate for the lack of accountability from the driver, which can truly test even the best relationship between account and account manager. Senior leadership management style is very hands off; manages people via email, most sales meetings are pointless, same information could have been communicated via email. Most Reyes organizations are extremely lean (1 person doing the job of 2 or 3 people), but how lean is too lean? Employment engagement surveys are manipulated and addressed in meetings to alter the outcome; work life balance is always talked about, but moves are seldom made to improve the balance. To that point, the leadership consistently shows no regard for personal time (sending emails/texts at 3 a.m. on Saturday/Sunday morning). "Politics of the workplace"-->management plays favorites, only promotes the people who kiss the most behind, regardless of professional ability). Impossible to rise through the ranks if the individual is not willing to move wherever he is told, whenever he is told.

Pros

I can't think of any pros at the moment

Cons

Chesbay bought out a distributor I worked for then cut in so many places that we could barely function for months. Could not guarantee myself or anyone under me their jobs for months. One of the most miserable experiences I've had with any company.
