      Decent entry level position

      Pros

      This is a good entry level position for the logistics industry. It’s a nice culture, friendly coworkers where everyone supports eachother. Comfortable and relaxed environment.

      Cons

      The bonus/commission payout structure is questionable. There seems to be a discrepancy between how much an employee brings in for the company compared to what they pay out in terms of commission. There doesn’t seem like much opportunity for advancement, since they tend to hire management roles externally.

      Pros

      Listen, I think most of the positive reviews on here are plants - but that said, I would say there are pros to being an employee at Choptank Transport. They do a lot for the community. If you enjoy cliques and pretending you're still in high school, this is probably the place for you. It's got a lot of young people walking around pretending to be the cool kids in school. However, senior management is competent and may be able to turn it around with time.

      Cons

      If you are an adult with a life outside work, this probably isn't the best job for you. If you are already part of the inner circle or you have the mentality of a high school senior, you might enjoy working here. My job requires a lot of concentration and I don't have a quiet place to work. All concerns brought to management are treated with the attitude that you're just a complainer and not a team player. Truth is, I don't know anybody there that actually thinks it's a good place to work.

      Pros

      Great Preston based company, with good staffing. Phenomenal company culture and respect in the industry. Top choice among brokerages I interviewed for employment.

      Cons

      Pay is not comparable with profit produced. Need a better profit share, bonus structure, or compensation for the ramp you are expected to hit.
