Cons

Cimpress India is a captive center for many Cimpress Business units. So when joins they can be in Cimpress (central team), Vista, Tradeprint, Printdeal, National Pen, Build a Sign etc. The culture, pay, talent, people behaviour depends on the above mentioned business unit. Cimpress and Vista are better than rest in terms of above mentioned qualities however they are still not above the average in terms of exact job satisfaction. There has been frequent layoff and org change. Company's roadmap and focus changes every year. In the BU National Pen the growth of an employee is not dependent on their technical skills rather how likely they are ready to comply with their manager's decision. In short if one wants growth then say yes to everything. There is no healthy technical debate, counter views or brainstorming on ideas. If you raise your voice then you are shut down by the leadership. They have been only accustomed to YES culture. The work load in National Pen is immense and the employee has to work till late at night almost everyday. Everything is priority work and has to be completed immediately National Pen Tech stack is old and there is always one or the other production issue. For experienced developers there isn't any new technology and skills to be gained. It is essentially the same thing over and over again. There is an unspoken role at National Pen - US business leaders have to take calls first with European counterparts as they respect work time and log off on time than with Indian counterparts. The calls with Indian counterparts can be held later as compared to Europeans. The meetings with the Indian team goes as long as 11 or 12 in night as per IST however the call with Europeans generally does not extend beyond 5 pm their time. Growth in terms of promotions is difficult at National Pen and one needs to have good butter applying skills to get promotion. One who is skilled in this will get promoted. Beyond the Lead Engg there is hardly any vertical growth for an Employee. The company has an internal anonymous feedback tool as Peakon. Though it is said to be anonymous, it is not. There have been instances when employees submitted anonymous feedback and Manager found who is she based on response and made their life hell. In other instances even if it is raised to HR it doesn't help as they comply with senior leaders and don't take action even if there is a serious management issue. In a very recent org change at National Pen, CTO and Directors were proactive enough to promote themselves to the new role. The same didn't apply to the foot soldiers and pawns in the company. Product manager's job in National Pen is to do project mgmt and be a postman - pass information from developer to leadership Leadership team of National Pen is concentrated in US. Almost 90% of leadership team is in US and rest in Europe. There isn't anyone in leadership team from India office. National Pen is very miser in terms of expense. There is hardly any business travel for employees At National Pen there is no ESOP given to employees whereas the same is given to some people in Cimpress and Vista If this echoes with what you have faced in National Pen then click helpful

Pros

Cool Office Space in Mumbai.

Cons

The current employees were given the impression that things are really bad (fact) and hence there wouldn't be any appraisal to avoid layoffs.....but they have parallel plans of aggressive expansion in other BUs evident by continuous rolling out of new offers every week......my advise to anybody looking forward to join Cimpress....join only if you are currently unemployed....since the business has not picked up yet and it's unlikely to pick up soon (printing is one of the worst-hit businesses across the globle). What they have done to us this year might happen to you next year...

Pros

-Salary is always on time -There are no further advantages, thus you should probably shut down the company.

Cons

-Micromanagement -If you want to develop your skills as a graphic designer, this is not the place for you. They usually have their procedures, the majority of which include copying, pasting, tracing, recreating, and removing errors, so you won't learn anything from this. -Working a 9-hour shift with a 1-hour break is tough when you're not even allowed to take breaks when you need them and must instead divide your breaks into three parts. Why is it that we can't take a break that lasts an hour? Do you think you could make a meal from scratch in 15 minutes? If that's the case, why divide an hour's break into three smaller ones if someone needs to prepare their meals or finish another activity in only 15 minutes? While the managers and team leaders watch "stranger things" on Netflix, you are required to spend the full eight hours in front of a computer. -They offer us a pointless assessment and promise to keep us on permanently and raise our pay if we do well. They hardly chose anyone, even though I was providing a wonderful, faultless performance. -It is quite sad and disheartening that there hasn't been a pay raise or appraisal in the preceding two years. They discuss mental health and other topics, but they don't give a damn about how we feel. They push us to work hard instead, yet they never thank us for our achievements. they treat employees like slaves rather than as employees. - Most of my coworkers have been with the firm for five to eight years or more, and their average monthly salary is 25,000 to 30,000, which is far less than what designers generally make. -They mislead job applicants Despite the fact that they advertise an associate production artist position with a salary of two to three LPA, the real salary is just 1.8 LPA. If you fall for their ploy, save your time and energy; they are only misleading candidates. -They will reject your festival leaves, and if your leave is approved, they will contact you and ask you to check in immediately.
