Pros
Company that works on self driving cars
Cons
Lot of decisions are made very soon by young people CEO in direct connection with team
Pros
Lunch every Monday and Wednesday. Some of the employees were easy to work with.
Cons
There is office politics about who will be in charge of what part of the company. People are not informed about internal company changes; like when a person who managed one group is suddenly no longer doing that, but managing a different group instead. If there are disagreements between managers, they use employees as pawns. One says "do this" and another says "do that". Managers embarrass employees over public emails, during meetings, or over public Slack messages. Execs say "if you don't like the culture here, then just leave." Do the top execs wonder why so many people quit? They are still trying to solve the same tech problems after more than a year. Other AV companies already have better products. Other companies can map hundreds of miles per week. Why not Civil Maps? Hiring process is not professional. One candidate was left waiting in a room by himself for over an hour while people debated what to do with the candidate. That is a red flag that they don't have their act together.
Pros
-If you like working for a execs that'll completely disregards their employees feedback and even their mangers feedback then you will love working here -You will gain enough experience to find a job you'll actually be happy at -Do you love being publicly humiliated in front of your peers? Well then, you found the right place! -You'll work long hours and still be told that you aren't working hard enough or even at all. So I guess this is a pro if you like being worked to death. -Overheard C level Exec say "make people uncomfortable, people need to feel uncomfortable to work harder" So if you love anxiety attacks then you definitely will love this place -If you quit before they fire you then you feel like you have won at life -They'll try to convince you the company is great and headed somewhere by playing inspirational Steve Job youtube videos. So you'll get at least that time to have a breather before you go back to having an anxiety attack because of how they overwork you and disrespect you
Cons
-Horrible company culture. They do not care about their employees at all -When someone quits the execs will talk in a negative way about that employee instead of trying to figure out why they quit and why they were unhappy -Some of the execs think they're above HR policies and make racist/sexist comments -Lost over 14 of their employees in the last 6 months and most were engineers (this company was small to begin with) -Even though you work overtime EVERYDAY they will tell you that you aren't working at all and that you are underperforming -They'll hover over you from behind while you work Most, if not all issues come from CEO, Finance/Operations and Product executives.
