My biggest pet peeve about this job was the blatant lie about the training process. In my interview they said training was 6 weeks but progressive. Progressive meaning you work at your own pace and it takes however long it takes. My trainer reassured me many times there was no rush on the training exercises. But then I get canned only 2 weeks into my training because I wasn’t progressing fast enough. I was blindsided because everyone always assured me I was doing well and I had zero warnings or discussions about my work performance.
So here’s the gist:
- Sink or swim training
- You have 2 weeks to learn 6 writing styles (but actual copywriting takes 2-3 months to learn..)
- You must teach YOURSELF everything through the learning material given (which is basically a list of formatting requirements and Do’s and Don’ts...)
- They are untrustworthy, they’ll tell you you’re killing it in training and then fire you the next day
- Turnover is high since most people fail the training process
I can only imagine how many people they’ve done this to. There a couple reviews here I saw before I started working here that I am glad I read because it gave me a heads up about the situation. 2 weeks is such a short time, I assume most people who have been burned by this company just cut their losses and move on. I hope this review helps someone and that more people share their negative experiences at this company.
