Clearbit really stands by their values. The leadership team cares deeply about everyone's personal and professional development. There's an amazing mix of hands-off management and trust combined with resources and support.

Cons

We're running out of space!

Pros

The immediate team I worked with was absolutely lovely. There were/are a lot of great folks at Clearbit. Benefits were great, but honestly largely because the leadership was really immature. They were looking at cutting things before Covid hit.

Cons

Almost the entirety of the leadership team is your stereotypical Silicon Valley privileged white straight white male. The company suffers from a severe case of Founder's Syndrome, and it's toxic from the top down. Things I saw & overheard at my time there: several of the leadership team discussing their weekend ayahuasca retreat in the hills, drugs in the office, a complete disrespect for women (including the CEO saying he didn't want to share a restroom with women, and another "exec" who enjoyed playing devil's advocate when issues of inclusion and diversity were raised). They talk a GREAT talk about being open to feedback. They are NOT. An employee was literally bit in the face by another employee's dog, and the CEO refused to allow HR to develop and enforce an office dog policy. He just wants to play in a company he built with his friends, rake in $$, and throw lavish parties. As another person said - they laid off a ton of folks when Covid started. Granted, that can't necessarily be helped... except for a company that was at best 1/4 NOT straight white men, almost everyone they laid off was a parent (I think to save $ on paying dependent health insurance), a woman, a person of color, or otherwise from an underrepresented group.

Best Job I've Ever Had

Pros

1. The Outlook - At only 3 years old, Clearbit is already profitable and is growing quickly. There is a team of incredibly smart people working and I have full faith this company is taking off. 2. The Culture - One of the things I love best about Clearbit is spending time with my coworkers. It's a very inclusive environment and friendships form quickly and easily. We all strive to each lunch together everyday. We have an office kick ball team. There is a company offsite every year where everyone travels together. Every Friday we make a reservation and the whole office goes out to lunch together. 3. The Office/Amenities/Benefits - The new SF office is gorgeous! Open layout, new technology, nice furniture. Fridges are well stocked and all employees have their own corporate card for work expenses including daily lunch and coffee breaks. Dogs welcome. And don't forget the obligatory start up office ping pong table! This year, everyone got an Epic season ski pass. Vacation policy is flexible, and employees are free to work remotely. Full medical/dental/vision plus gym stipend and commuter benefits. They really go above and beyond taking care of their employees. 5. The Leadership - The leadership team at Clearbit it great. But more importantly they are constantly striving to be better. They spend a lot of time reading up and being coached on successful leadership strategy. They are open minded, receptive to feedback, and flexible in their methods.

Cons

Neighborhood is not the nicest.

Pros

- A culture that fosters genuine feedback and true transparency at all levels, period. The leadership team at Clearbit doesn't just talk the talk but walks the walk in terms of doing what they can to uphold the values of the company first and foremost. - The level of autonomy that leadership has built into the way the company grows has been a breath of fresh air in the all too familiar rat race of silicon valley. Sure goals and growth are highly valued, but so is building in a sustainable and deliberate way, even if it means acknowledging shortcomings/areas for improvement. - The people are all genuinely lovely, down to earth, and a fun bunch. - Smart driven folks -- at all levels and parts of the organization. - A founder that is an engineer first who has a focus on our product at all times, but has spent a ton of work to improve as a leader and manager - Amazing, best in class perks, including benefits and ability to work the way that makes the most sense to you - All the fun pups in the office...and their human caretakers who know how to liven up the place :)

Cons

- Clear vision of the end goal with a feasible path to breakout level success but at times it can be unclear of steps beyond the next few quarters of how we'll get there. - We're slowly building out the leadership team in a thoughtful way to set us up for long term success but sometimes it seems like we're not moving fast enough as the space we compete in is only getting more competitive by the day - Wish we could hire faster for the roles that we need to fill, there's so much to do!

This company is exceptional

Pros

Clearbit's team is building an amazing product, is attracting top talent, and offers great benefits to make sure the team stays mentally and physically healthy. They are flexible and understanding of work-life balance (but there are still longer hours as is normal with this stage of company). Sales culture is very prominent as this team grows, so be prepared with a high-growth mindset to jump into a very exciting company in the industry! Everyone feels like they are a part of building something amazing. Everyone loves working together!

Cons

The area of SOMA can feel a little unsafe in the evening. Leadership teams are not very diverse, and there's a bit of a monoculture. The office is adopting hoteling desks, which depending on your work style, can be a con.
