Pros

None apart from team your working with

Cons

Crap pay, treated like dirt, poor field staff that love talking and doing conference calls. Boxes of crap sent in with no where to put it. Over priced and trying to get customers to buy stuff at till point . My manager is a good man but we will lose him as they work him to the bone and after coming into our store like a breath of fresh air they have started to break him.

Pros

good staff discount-40% our manager was flexible with hours, if you need a particular day off she will do that for you. as ive been there a while I get extra holidays good staff in our store, we're all friends nice products some nice regular customers

Cons

area managers and above are a nightmare, show no appreciation for hard work, always not good enough, always complaining despite our store always meeting targets our manager is very good but has been pushed out, think theyre planning on having one manager for two or more stores travelling around, so the two supervisors are now leaving too area managers speak to you like you are a child and belittle you, the workload is huge as there are always only two members of staff in at a time, so if we're buy we are both on tills and nothing else can get done, don't get breaks as there is too much to do to have time for breaks have to push ad on sales and companys loyalty scheme excessively as have to inform area mangers end of day how many you've done that day, if haven't met targets get a lot of hassle but if do get suspicious questions of how you've done it, are you cheating! area managers lie about you to higher up staff, saying you know nothing when they've asked you and you were able to answer their questions very stressful due to huge workload and low staffing level expected to get tasks done but also be very customer service focussed, stop and speak to EVERY customer but also magically get tasks done expected to travel miles and miles to other stores and wont take no for an answer even if you are on holiday I loved working there when I started but we three members of staff all the time so were able to get things done properly, hours have been cut by nearly half since then, but we now have to open sundays and bank holidays too! I applied for a supervisors job, had the interview, was told I did well but didn't have enough confidence! which severely dented my confidence in myself! they were getting rid of the assistant manager position and let her apply for the manager position, but she a letter saying she'd been made redundant before she had the interview, and told her they never promote in store as it causes problems!
