Pros

1. Long-standing customers 2. Good sales team 3. PE-funded

Cons

1. Zero professional ethics 2. Extremely poor leadership across the board (all are general managers) 3. Poorest HR in the software product industry (there is practically no HR today...unless you are looking for someone with just a "HR" title) 4. Technology is outdated (they are very proud of using AngularJS, as that's the only new technology introduced in the last 10 years) 5. Many good engineers and product managers have left (and are leaving) the company 6. The company saw some hope with good leadership for a brief period in 2014-15. The leader chose to move on. The company Has now gotten worse than what it was before 2014). 7. Zero transparency ("managers" and "executives" are tight lipped wrt financial information like revenue, bookings, profit margins, etc.) Even product managers don't get this information, from what I've heard with the PMs I've worked with) 8. Good engineers are either moved to the US from Chennai, or made a manager

Pros

Office facilities are decent Top engineers and Managers get Macbook. Few real good top long time, engineering leaders based out of US and Germany.

Cons

Company has only one major product that generates revenues. But this revenue is not getting any better. Founder sold the company to VCs and they are looking at an exit. Senior Management is based out of US and all engineering functions are done from chennai in India. The main product has 15year old code base with 3rd generation outdated technologies like Struts 1.0. The product has serious memory and deployment issues that every customer faces. Many attempts have been made to revamp the codebase, but nothing is fruitful so far. The company has a larger percent of mediocre engineers and quality analysts. Employees dont do any work in the name of work from home. Senior management in US is inefficient with no understanding of the product. The company is run as a backoffice to maintain the dying product.

Pros

- Good Work-Life balance - Good Employees

Cons

- You won't learn anything new. Worst place to Learn - No innovation at all, you'll become dormant after few months even if you're an IITian - Lack of motivation and appreciation. Lots of disappointments. - It's a legacy product and you'll end-up with working on 10-year old technologies. So, you lose your market value - Chennai office is just a backoffice, you'll not getting any interesting work. Most of the interesting works & decisions are made by few people in US. You'll be commanded to do 'copy & paste' work without asking any questions - Poor Engg Management - Poor Domain knowledge - Poor Office Infrastructure - Driven by blind PO's & DO - No proper product roadmap - No travel opportunities (0%) for engineers. Travel is allowed only for high-level management people. - You will be tortured by management (Engg), if you put down your paper - Process centric and not people centric. Even HR doesn't know most of the employees name or team (very small-sized company) and about the company's product (actually they don't care about it) - You're not allowed grow in your career, since all the appreciations/promotions are goes only to the corresponding manager/director. Typically, they will try to hide your visibility as much as possible - Too much of Hierarchy - Most of the employees are not satisfied about their work - All big giants are already left the company because of the above reasons
