Pros
1. Stable company with a caring attitude toward its employees. 2. Safety comes first - it's a chemical manufacturing plant but there's great attention to safety as long as procedures are followed. Training program for newbees. 3. Good benefits for this area. When the company makes extra profits, so do the employees. 4. Plenty of hours available, including overtime. Shift work schedule. 5. The company is taking in more work each year and has a long-range plan for growth.
Cons
1. It's hot work in the plant - you get used to it but it's not a place you drop in and out of when you want. 2. It's a chemical manufacturing plant. You have to work carefully here and follow the rules. You can't come in half-awake and expect to be treated like you're a superstar. 3. They also random test for drugs and background check every applicant. If that's gonna be a problem, there's no point in applying.
