Inefficient, unprepared, asked us to steal pens.

Pros

15/hour for the time you're there before you get fired.

Cons

-No uniforms/shirts declaring what we were doing. Wth? Going about random parking lots with clipboards and no shirt saying we're registering people to vote is asinine. -Random, unresearched sites to canvass at. Was kicked out of location on 4 of 10 days. Couldn't even call ahead to see if we could be on sites. -Super condescending management, 24 year olds shushing us and being generally unprofessional. -Asked us to(and I quote) steal pens because they were running out of them.

Pros

Quick raises: started at $9/hr, ended at $17/hr a couple of months later Good hours: able to work as many hours as you want (at least 3 days per week)

Cons

Absolutely toxic work environment: insanely high turnover. Most people were fired within two weeks, so all of the canvassers were on edge at all times. Inexperienced leadership: The directors were all between 19 and 24 years old and none were local (despite leading a grassroots campaign that depended on community outreach). Their leadership style was both condescending and ineffective.
