Pros

In theory, you are able to work remotely.

Cons

I wouldn't even know where to begin to start: this employer feels like a ponzi scheme. They state one pay rate upon interview and throughout the hiring process, then it is changed when you actually go through training. They claim that your production bonus is based solely on "showing up to work every day", when in reality, it is based upon billable minutes. They really milk each patient for every possible cent, abusing their medicaid hours allotted to "just find something to bill for", whereas you're expected to be a human taxi service who is encouraged to commit medicaid fraud to meet your "productivity goals". We aren't supposed to transport and are told to use words like "assist" and "met with" to circumvent the laws. The time spent doing community research, continuing education / professional development, writing case notes and treatment plans, being on call and attached to your phone every minute of every day, communicating with providers, traveling over 90 minutes one way, etc. - none of that is considered productivity. In addition, supervisors, trainers, and administration will make fun of and talk poorly about case managers when they think we aren't listening. Instead of encouraging clients to become autonomous and independent of us, which is the job of case management - this company creates an environment that the clients become completely dependent and lack any self determination. The pay is $14.00 per hour, but they will tempt you, saying you can make an additional 1500.00 per month for productivity. They don't pay on time, the moment they feel you aren't "meeting productivity" they will hold your check. You are expected to complete your case notes by the end of day of every shift, not even given a full 12 hours to do so. There is a total lack of communication or response, turnover is through the roof, and they're getting ready to lose a large portion of their clinicians and case managers before fall 2023 is over due to ethical and legal concerns. Stay away from this company.

Pros

As a case manger, I enjoy what I do in order to make lives better. My problem is not with the work. My issues lie within the company. They lied to me upon hire. They also made many changes during my employment that better suited their profits, but harmed employees financially. If you work here ask for EVERY THING in writing. Their word is not bond. This a great place for RECENT college graduates to get in the door. This is not a place for people who have been in this business more than 5 years. Make your own hours (kinda) Flexible Nice Trainers Bonuses based on productivity

Cons

No Sick time, $11 an hour, bad management, constant changes, lies upon hire, not paid on time, Bonuses based on productivity, HIGH TURNOVER

Full of drama and Medicaid fraud

Pros

90% of the staff are frustrated with the same thing so you have someone to vent to. Although, you’ll be warned to not “gossip” to others about not getting your paycheck on time or about labor laws being violated.

Cons

Once a new case management supervisor team came about, is when the nail went in the coffin. Not sure what is worse, the non communication about any change that is implemented or having incorrect information e-mailed that will be changed about 5 times. I can’t make this up.. they called a meeting by e-mail and the time and date was different 4 different times. They force you to do notes in a 24 window and want you to bill for clients 80% of the workday which leaves you to work 12-13 hours if you do it without committing Medicaid fraud. They only pay you for 8 hours but we should do it without complaining because they gave us a small raise. You are given a company phone that will be disconnected at least once a month because lack of payment by the company. The management is unprofessional to say the least. They will call you and have a third person on the line without telling you. This way they can lie about what was being told. They have “client activities” which is just a way for them to bill for a massive amount of clients separately and fraudulently. All the counselors have quit because of ethical reasons. They promoted others with little to no education bc they will do what the supervisor say without speaking up for themselves. Most of these things are to encourage fraudulent billing or tasks that the supervisor does not want to herself. If these aren’t enough reasons then just read the client reviews. Gives you insight on how they treat clients and employees.
