Pros

If you are favourite employee of your manager then you no need to do any documentation. From his list of unfavoured, he will assign someone for you who will do documentation. If you are favourite employee of your manager then you no need to do work hard, He will give you promotion easily. Doesn't matter in your tenure you have done any assignment successfully or not. If you are favourite employee of your manager then you no need to do work hard, You will get onsite for too many years without knowing even compilation, Including this he will stop hiring for that location and will provoke other good resources to leave company because of saving your daily-allowance. Now question is how to come in good list: Do lunch with him, do fake praise of him, Late night parties with him, Booze with him and sutta with him.

Cons

Nothing bad, all are good as I mentioned above.

Pros

The senior management is visionary with excellent ideas and eye on future.

Cons

If you are into politics, this is the company.Especially if you wish to join India office. If you can please your boss, not with your knowledge and work, but everything else, then this is the company to be in. Most of the team managers do not have global experience and have only worked in Comptel since childhood which makes them very myopic in view and so to say, lacking vision. Its a product company so you've got to learn their products. But you have to pretend as if "you know it all" rather than"learn it all". No proper guidance or training programmes. There are absolutely no processes and policies and do not expect any transparency. If your boss is happy, you are on top of the world. If not, god save you. Dont rely on your knowledge and ability to learn and perform, rather rely on pleasing your boss by all means, but work. The HR department is meek spectacular to office politics with no empowerment. Appraisals and feedback sessions are means for your boss to insult you and take revenge for things that you did not do. With Nokia acquiring Comptel , hope a few things to change, but not immediately.
