Used to be a good place to work, no longer.

Pros

You get paid on time, 3% 401k match. Occasional drawings and office lunches. Salary is approaching regional averages for certain positions.

Cons

24/7/365 availability is the new standard for most jobs nowadays. This company is EXTREMELY abusive of it. Expect to get 3am calls on all holidays and vacation days for things that would never warrant a call to begin with at other companies. 10+ calls per night are quite common. Extreme disconnect between management and employees. All processes are highly manual and tedious, automation is seen as too expensive when bodies can be thrown at the issue. Co-workers can get quite unprofessional and sometimes even abusive during high stress times.

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, the data posted within this review is not accurate. We will be announcing again within the next 60 days another "Best Places To Work" award, which was based upon voting from our employees. It would appear that the majority of the people in our company do not share this individual's beliefs. While we are certainly not perfect, we try very hard to take great care of our employees and are always trying to improve. We began a significant effort last year to automate our managed services processes using Chef (and other components), and we are adding to our portal development team to speed the effort. (Note: We have software development positions open, so please apply if interested!) Yes, engineers and sales people have an "on call" schedule and take off-hours calls, but our staff get approximately 1 call per week on average for those who are on call. We don't tolerate abusive behavior of any kind towards each other, and any unprofessional behavior gets addressed immediately. We are very sorry for whatever happened to this individual to make them so negative towards us, but we wish them well in their new company. We hire and train many young people who have never worked at another company before. We've seen countless times that they leave us to go work at a larger company where "the grass seems greener," only to call us within a few months and ask for their job back. Recently, one such engineer told us that "I wish that Connectria was the last place that I worked in my career, not my first. I didn't realize how good I had it."

Pros

Used to be the best place to work in STL. Owner sold, culture plummeted, all the talented people have left, owned by a investment group who only cares about short term growth. Couldnt be happier to leave - absolutely a horrible place to work nowadays.

Cons

terrible leadership shortsighted business models no care for employees from the top
