Pros

A really fun place to work at. Relaxed atmosphere, good compensation, company is small but managed by a larger parent so often we are able to work at our own pace and set our own goals (for the most part). We have clubs for all sorts of things including board games, electronics, and even craft beer enthusiasts.

Cons

There have been some growing pains as we tried to integrate with our new parent company, including taking some larger contracts that we were not prepared for, resulting in missed deadlines and a lot of stress. These things will work out over time but it was tough for the developers who were getting blamed for falling behind on unrealistic schedules.

Pros

Free snacks and soft drinks (yay?) easy access to high management

Cons

Being on time is more important than what you get done (depending on manager- beware of new ones who really wanna change the flow of things that aren't broken) ^ like for real, even if you rework entire systems for the company expect to be fired because you're a little late in a non time urgency environment Chain of command doesn't mean much.. expect to be told what to do by managers of different departments
