Negative OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at Cookies by Design full-time for less than a year
Pros
Free cookies but I wouldn’t eat them
Cons
- poor management, was hired full time and asked for a schedule multiple times and it took a days and another time asking to receive anything information about my new schedule. Didn’t listen to my availability and got mad when I told them I couldn’t work the shifts due to overlap of a second job. Management team member didn’t show up to meet with me to discuss possible improvements to their bakery. Dirty work place and the manager there doesn’t have any sense of experience of running a bakery.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI worked at Cookies by Design full-time for less than a year
Pros
You get to take home free cookies, health benefits.
Cons
The first thing is when you're hired on as "full time" you are rushed to be done working your 8 hour shift in 6 hours so you aren't really getting full time. I was also told I would get over time when hired, but previous employees were brought in to work the busy holiday's and your'e still sent home early. I was also told I would be getting PTO as a full time member, but you only get them when you're with the company for a year. Speaking of holiday's, anytime there is one you cannot request any day off that entire week of the holiday. They should've added janitor to the job description because the second shift cleans EVERYTHING. You're never right in any situation you're always wrong. You're basically thrown into the job with no training and expected to know how to do everything. Overall this job may be worth it as a part time but the amount of work you have to do isn't worth the full time.

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at Cookies by Design part-time for more than a year
Pros
The free cookies are pretty good, but the quality varies due to constant turnover.
Cons
There is a lot of turnover since the ownership change due to unprofessional work atmosphere and dishonesty about work assignments, which impact compensation. All employees from prior ownership have left voluntarily. False accusations were made with no evidence presented. Defamation of character. No accountability by upper mgmt.

I worked at Cookies by Design full-time for more than a year
Pros
Loved the work and the cookie recipes were pretty darn good. Be prepared to gain some weight. A ton of freedom to be creative outside the specific bouquet orders.
Cons
Valentine's day was too much to handle. Sometimes same day orders were impractical. So many customer complaints stemming from prices being too high thus quality expectations being through the roof. I mean, they're COOKIES. Edible things can only be so perfect looking. New corporate ideas were pretty lame. No freedom to create own recipes (although we did anyway) Franchise owner was TERRIBLE although I realize there's not much corporate can do about that. POS system needs a serious update. At our shop, POS stood for something entirely different.

Pros
Early schedule to fit some peoples lives
Cons
Terrible management, problems were never addressed, not always a clean place to work, overworked employees without breaks once I had at 14 hour shift with a five minute break to get some water.

No Opinion of CEOI worked at Cookies by Design part-time
Pros
Multiple chances to be creative, local owner was wonderful.
Cons
Holidays (especially Valentine's Day) are hectic, and it is not uncommon to work 14+ hours a day those days.
