Pros

friendly co-workers. They pay reasonably well. A few good managers.

Cons

Bad management, environment, health and safety. They will try to force you to do extra hours and discourage you from going to family emergencies. If you get injured you better come to work. Eg: Someone crushed their hand and was expected to come to work even while they were high from pain killers. You can get fired for no reason; mainly favoritism. You are ether waiting for management to get you work, or expected to multi-task several rush jobs. Unhappy workers. One half of the laboratory left, the other half was fired.

Pros

They laid me off from my job with them

Cons

No training, two location managers, three lab managers, vindictive auditors, absolutely no training for the position whatsoever (yeah, I know I already mentioned that but it deserved noteing a second time), a collection of regional managers that would make Monty Pyton and the Three Stooges proud.

Pros

You meet some of the best people here most are very supportive and there to help rather it’s your HR team all the way down to you local manager. They hire you knowing nothing and teach you everything possible to get you out in the field to do your job safely. Everyday is presented with something new, challenges you to use your brain and actually think a little, you learn something new everyday and if you apply your self you will feel worthy at the end of your 12hr 4 days straight schedule

Cons

Talking about a micromanagement breeding hub!! Is what is a turn off to some of the few good guys that’s come to work at Saybolt. I know people say that you will have the same problems where you go but here is by far the worst. They don’t believe in any form of properly communicating with no one they let these so call assist mangers make decisions with out any approval.what makes it worst is that they have every form of communication to prevent this disbelief I am sharing. Ex: the manger comes up with a plan to have a assistant whereas every team is already assigned a shift Supvisor of a group of two-four people. Secondly they have a on call Skeleton crew assigned to every team due to demands of the job. But they can’t seem to follow the plan instead they select people who they know will come in and do it just to be a team player and get the job done and this happens all them time!!! Overall they need to cut back on the trying to fix new issues and focus on improving the task that’s causing problems.

Pros

In Corlab, you can learn a lot, develop yourself and move up the career . Managers are always close to employees to hear their concerns and problems and support them in all circumstances. It's an excellent company to work and continuity.

Cons

The number of technical employees should be increased to avoid overtime work.
