The pay was commensurate with the actual job tasks.
Cons
VERY LITTLE job training for actual position's job responsibilities. Very little camaraderie experienced while a "newbie". Big sense of "every person for themself" "Point system" for clocking in and out// if you clock in more than 7 minutes BEFORE your scheduled start time, you are penalized. (Same for more than 7 minutes after scheduled, but, that's understandable) If you're claustrophobic, be advised that you will be contained in hallways/areas for periods of time. That time could be spent with individuals who've committed heinous crimes and your only protection is a 5'0, 300lb corrections "officer".
