Pros

You get to collaborate on every project, even if it doesn't necessarily fall into your job description. Graphic designers work on website design and development, assist with copywriting, prepare presentations for new business meetings, photography, social media, etc. Great portfolio builder. The workplace culture is relaxed, friendly and casual. Because it's such a small staff, everyone knows everyone else.

Cons

The casual workplace and dress code can sometimes lead to a lack of productivity and focus. Because it's a non-profit social enterprise, they can't really afford to pay their employees as much as the job requirements would entail. High turnover rate; constantly training new employees and interns. Office politics and drama with parent company

Pros

Caring environment. Co workers and supervisors truly care about your mental and emotional wellbeing. Good health benefits. Relaxed environment.

Cons

Not enough systems to place to make sure work flows smoothly, things fall through the cracks. Management is rather unorganized and doesn't know how to best do their own jobs.
