Pros

Prestigious project with traditional British engineers but not enough of them.

Cons

The project is being overrun by Bechtel doing very little except their usual, which is ripping off the tax payer. They put themselves in top positions which makes their US company big bucks. They undermine qualified UK engineers and create delays and extra cost to the project. Crossrail push for women in the in the industry is way overdone. Personally I think women should be and far too intelligent to work under high pressure in dirt and mud. Crossrail lie to young girls and destroy their future by enticing them into the construction industry, Women are gifted and can do better in clean environments like banks and law where they can make at least twice as much.

Pros

Try to catch up with delivery date Old and retire age people's paradise

Cons

Crossrail is the mixture of TfL and contactor staff. Most of the key management positions are held by contractors staff. Tfl staff is treated like a second class workers because their destiny is controlled by contractors managers. Contractors managers prefer contractors staff for promotion than Tfl. No payrise or career progression for TfL staff. HR is dominated by contractors managers they too are helpless for Tfl staff. HR keeps quite and overlook internal problems to keep contractors managers happy. No good place for decent educated people. Most of the managers don't have decent education or class.
