Pros

1. People are friendly. 2. The engineering culture is mature. 3. The work is somehow challenging in on way or another. 4. There's a good space to grow and discover your potential. 5. The engineering team both personally and technically was better than all my previous experiences. 6. The CTO. Technically, he is one of the top 3 I have witnessed/worked with through my full-time work experience in Egypt. Personally, he is smart, charismatic, funny and detail-oriented. Overall if you had the chance to work with him directly, you can learn a great deal from him. 7. I worked there for 7 months. They were too nice when I told them that I will be relocating abroad and wished me good luck. I remember in a previous experience when I told the CEO that I'm leaving, he decided to ignore me the whole notice period. He stopped even saying Hi as if I cursed at him or something :'D. This kind of immature mentalities doesn't exist in Crowd Analyzer. 8. They seek to evolve for better with actions not just talks. 9. They always prioritize quality over deadlines. 10. They have the coolest Research Director a company could ever have :D

Cons

1. The engineering process had some major flaws. It was the main drawback for me through my experience there. In my opinion it didn't cope up with such a mature engineering culture. I won't illustrate further about it since it's no longer enabled. They already started with a new process just before my departure. 2. The office was crowded, Also before my departure they were starting to moving out to a new office so this won't be a problem anymore. 3. Sometimes they tend to over-engineer some work with the intention of doing it the best way possible. In some situations things could be simpler in order to save time, efforts and to avoid unnecessary complications but overall this is a debatable technical perspective, there isn't an absolute right or wrong.

Pros

1. I learned a lot from my coworkers and the CTO 2. The engineering culture highly emphasizes software design and high-quality code and innovation. 3. The search for the best solution is part of the job which is great! 4. The team is the best part of working at CrowdAnalyzer. They're very diverse and nice and really fun to work with.

Cons

Management: 1. Over-controlling management, the CTO specifically. He's very nitpicky and honestly a little rough when giving feedback. 2. They have a very arrogant attitude in general. 3. "We appreciate our people" is a theory they're having a hard time to apply. 4. the CTO is the center of the company basically. Nothing moves forward or even moves at all sometimes without his involvement. Thus, everything is slowed down. 5. They are never wrong and it takes them a long time to correct course when it's necessary. 6. They don't listen. 7. At the time I was there, we used a quarterly, performance-based KPIs to get paid the rest of the salary. The KPIs were designed to be almost impossible to reach without working at least 10 hours/day. I'm not sure if this policy is still in action but it was a cause of huge frustration and disappointment. HR: 1. They make a lot of promises that they can't fulfill. 2. The company can virtually run without them. 3. They kind of add more friction and they don't get your back at all, they're always on the management's side 4. Very judgy and unaware of the impact of their actions on the general culture
