A huge mess

Pros

Family type environment where everyone knows everyone and mostly gets along (non-managers).

Cons

Ha. Where to start... wages are poor at best. If you don't negotiate up front, you'll be stuck without a raise for 2+ years despite increased job responsibilities and good performance. No chance of promotion or lateral job change. Consistent long hours including weekends under high stress environment. High level managers scream (including profanity) at workers. Rules don't apply to everyone and there is definite extreme favoritism throughout the company. Senior management doesn't care about how finances are being spent. $4000 spent on a one day off site meeting, at least $5000 for a VIP event for 30 people, but they can't find a dime to repave the entry driveway with HUGE potholes. Not a penny spent on employees to boost terribly low morale. No t-shirts to celebrate the roll out of the 400th plane or the 1st of a new aircraft, yet those VIPs got embroidered polos and caps! They used to care about the hardworking folks.

Pros

Work in aviation field. Access to rental aircraft at reduced rate. Flight opportunities existed.

Cons

There was a fearful atmosphere in which employees did not have the freedom to think or act on their own. Management expects "unquestioning discipline" from their employees. There was no cohesion between the departments, each would speak poorly of others. Each separate department had to battle for resources and each other which created a highly charged political atmosphere. In many cases it seemed that management cared more about the politics than the work that was completed. The company acted like it was my privilege to work there and shows little regard for employees. Requests in the company went one direction: Down. Requests going up were largely ignored or suppressed. Employee retention is poor. The location of Yakima, Washington leaves much to be desired, but unfortunately location was not the worst part. CubCrafters is out of touch with the rest of the industry and has no understanding of how employees should be treated.

Pros

Fun working environment. You’ll fall in love with your job and the people you work with.

Cons

Management. Company does not take care of their employees. Raises are few and far between. More and more responsibilities with no compensation. Lots of empty promises.
