Currenycloud tries to promote an engineering culture where everyone can make a difference. But this is ruined by the CTO who doesn’t believe in this culture, who has been caught lying on several occassions, and is frequently telling team members not to contradict him infront of others. There are some very important leaders with good ideas in the business, but they are being wasted due to the CTO’s ego and old fashioned (corporate), blame-driven micro-management style. Currencycloud has quickly become a dysfunctional organisation where people are more interested in protecting themselves rather than doing the right thing. There needs to be a significant change at the top so that Currencycloud doesn’t become just another finance company with a ineffective IT department drowning in red tape.

Nothing works. The tech is always broken, nobody knows what's going on, nothing ever gets fixed and nobody cares about it Senior management team is hamstrung between an ineffective lower-level management team that has been promoted on tenure rather than ability; and an exec team that has absolutely no idea what is going on Exec team cannot ever agree on the direction of the company, are often moving in different directions Office is a cesspit A genuinely rubbish work culture- don't expect to be inspired by colleagues' work ethics or abilities. Expect to be constantly fixing issues If you want to learn or further your career, run a mile
