Shady executives who don't care about employees

Pros

They send you all the equipment you need.

Cons

This company is extremely unorganized and and has pretty much no structure. There is little to no training on how to do your job and how to succeed. Then, if you make a mistake, they offer no insight as to how you can improve. You will be given absolutely no guidance if you get hired. Not to mention, the hiring process to over a month and a half as the incompetent recruiter took an entire week and a half to respond to every email I sent. I witnessed them fire multiple employees without reason or warning. The Director of Operations was the most rude, condescending, patronizing, and actually subtly racist, person I have ever come into contact with. Save your sanity and apply elsewhere. It is NOT worth it.

Pros

Helpful coworkers (seems to be cultural to help each other, so it's a company-wide plus). Decent base salary. Flexible working hours and WFH.

Cons

Top-heavy old school management organisation claiming to be Agile. Bean-counting middle managers breathing down your neck. Senior management constantly overpromising to clients and dictate deadlines before requirements scoping with dev teams. Long hours are expected. Disorganised (asked on a Friday to develop, test & deploy for Monday). Very basic benefits pack (legal minimum % pension contribution, all but useless Vitality health plan etc). No growth plans.

Pros

- Impactful product - Got to work with some very capable and smart people - Full remote, flexible hours

Cons

- My department (Hardware) was asked to go on a 24/7 on-call rota 2 months before announcing laying off a number of us (already understaffed)? It doesn't even make sense - Complete disregard for the hardware department, now official with lay-offs (announced Jul 2022) - Long hours (unpaid) are expected - Cult-like worshipping of the company In short, if you're remotely related to Hardware (Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems etc etc), don't walk, but run away.
