No Opinion of CEOI have been working at Cytec
Pros
* Flexible timing. * Freedom while working. * Compensation is Ok!
Cons
* The Logistics dept is in a mess. (Customers always complaining) * The Order fulfilment system of the Co is the worst I have seen. * The India branch lacks "Professionalism" in the management of the office. * A total lack of team work and team belonging. Everybody is working in isolation and just for oneself.

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at Cytec full-time for less than a year
Pros
Pay rates seemed good - promises of personal progression seemed good too
Cons
Training that was promised (in respect of the lab management system) never appeared, leaving with much pressure to deliver results, but without the ability to effectively use the systems - familiarity with the system was provided by a third party who did not speak English very well and was far too pressured themselves to spend sufficient time. Manufacturing equipment was in a good number of cases incapable of producing the planned output - making adjustments to the machinery meant a lot of clean-down time, so the shop floor staff were reluctant (borderline belligerent) about any attempts to get to the bottom of problems, or any delays to getting a job started (for example to check settings) and so many batches of defective or borderline product were pumped out of the end of the lines. The result of this culture was that I was placed under almost unbearable pressure to "pass off" defective batches of materials - to ignore the criteria for testing, and to turn a blind eye to testing practices which in no way emulated the real world conditions under which these materials would be used. - These materials are going into high performance vehicles and aircraft, often as structural elements - cheating the tests was and is in my opinion simply not acceptable. I was pressured / bullied into quitting because I would not engage with these immoral practices - HR took a very large part in this when I foolishly thought they would be the ones to support me - they are hand in glove with the MGT team.
