Cons
The ED and the COO are the most outright disrespectful "professionals" I have ever worked with. I have witnessed the disrespect and experienced it first hand. I was spoken down to quite often and frequently referred to as "entry level". There is a severe lack of organization throughout the non-profit. The organization is dedicated to helping victims overcome abuse and trauma. However, upper management is also guilty of a similar kind of abuse that stems from a misuse of authority. During my tenure at Day One there was a readily apparent sexism towards men which made the workplace very uncomfortable. People do not come to work to be disrespected and definitely not to be made to feel like they do not belong.
