Pros

It used to be free lunch, not anymore the standard has gone down. The company can sommer give employees the cash to buy decent meals

Cons

Do not trust the 4 star ratings given by HR. The ratings have gone so low that HR had to resort to such gimmicks by posting their own 4 star ratings, sies. Not surprising though coz the same way they treat casino clients is the same way they treat employees - dodge. HR doesn't represent you as an employee, they represent the company, everything that HR does, it does not serve the interests of the people. As an employee, you are just a resource producing x number of units within 8.5 hours per day, A promotion is not really a promotion because your salary remains the same from your previous role, it's a lateral move they say, yet you are adding more skills and more value to the new role. Forget negotiations for a salary increase with HR, your manager doesn't even know what your salary is so they can't even motivate for the well deserved salary increase. Lousy annual increase that is below inflation. Bonus is not guaranteed. Year 2023 was a horrible year for bonuses because the company changed the criteria and some people did not even receive bonuses. Working your behind off the entire year only to be left hanging dry. Fatima paid out bonuses in December because she knew that the employees are people with families and December is South Africa is family time, The new Chief of People wants numbers to align with numbers by paying bonuses in February, clearly employees are just numbers. No diversity, no transformation. Only a few black people are managers there, can count in one hand. Team Leaders are not taken to leadership workshops and training - no leadership skills whatsoever. They never catch up with you as a human being, all they care about is delivery delivery as if you are a robot. Things have changed since the listing, it's all going downhill. Retrenchments all the way. Management will not even tell the people about retrenchments, you just see people leave the premises telling you that it's their last day. No transparency from management at all. Your qualification doesn't mean anything here, yet when they advertise posts they say Tertiary qualification is essential, but you work with people in your team who don't even have a tertiary qualification. Loyalty and hardwork is not rewarded here, if you are a hardworker you will be given more work. You strive to complete your tasks in order to be given more work and not to enjoy your leisure time with your family. You go on sick leave there will be no one to help with your work and you busy stressing and end up logging in while on the sick bed because you know by the time you come back from sick leave there will be more work. I wouldn't recommend my family, friends to come work here - it's just mental illness galore. I know former employees that were admitted to a mental institution and resigned with immediate effect after being discharged, that's how Toxic Digioutsource is.

They're leaving their own reviews. It's embarrassing.

Pros

They have a dedicated team to leave good reviews by the looks of all these 4 star ratings and Cons that makes no sense.

Cons

I don't think I need to say more besides they are honestly leaving their own reviews because it's THAT bad. I worked there for over a decade. The last 3 years have been n downhill spiral to say the least. I'm thankful for the opportunities the previous CEO's/ CTO's etc gave us but they ALL left because it's a sinking ship due to this NYSE. I'm not a disgruntled employee. I'm genuinely trying to warn anyone who's considering this option. If you do take this job, I truly hope that your experience is great, but come back to this review when you realise what's going on. All the best and always remember your worth.

Pros

An in-office meal a day.

Cons

- 2 days remote only, with mandatory specific days, without enough parking. - Guilt tripping / threatening of job security, on push out extra hours for free. - Not nearly enough support and no focus on the tech. - Small teams carry all the weight of the entire business on their shoulders. - Hemorrhaging knowledgeable people for better alternatives. - None of the IT department are able to dictate priority nor timelines of their own products. - False promises of filling critical positions, while expecting understaffed teams to perform at the same or greater capacity. - District disconnect and potential competitiveness from the executive levels, leaving fragmented siloed work ethic. - Digi is seen as a separate entity from Betway and Derivco, making cross team communication painful to deal with, yet all the same umbrella corp with the Super Group. - Wasting money on people not carrying their own weight. - A broken PDP system known internally as Combined-F, where scoring higher gains you nothing and is near impossible to reach as your overachieving become the new standard rating. While underachieving doesn't have you performance managed, but mediocre gains a static bonus. - They will claim to hire above you, rather than attempt to up-skill and level massive gaps in domain understanding.
