Pros

Chance to travel (slim, but it's been known to happen)

Cons

Everything you do depends on what an exec in Singapore thinks, no matter where you are in the world. They refuse to invest in tech, so there're tons of manual processes, with constant criticism of why they're are so many manual processes Refuse to increase staff, even when situations are dire They covet brown-nosers above all

Colleagues are okay however poor leadership

Pros

staff’s insurance policy is quite okay

Cons

Poor leadership and the head is only concern about figure, too many daily unnecessary pointless meetings/so called training and always no trust towards own staff. Multitask is fine, however head was asking impossible - such as totally no marketing background but staff have to submit SWOT plan, what-so-ever plan; also ownself set up FB/IG page etc. Think 10 times before you join this company.

Toxic political culture

Pros

Growth opportunities are decent in most teams from lower levels making it an ok entry point into the industry. Flight Centre brand reflects well with other employers. Salaries are middling but not the worst.

Cons

Management is very political and decisions seem to be based more on favouritism than anything else. Inequality between foreign and local staff. Local employees used more as cheap labour with only government required benefits, while expats enjoy a lot more. Senior leaders lack trust in their teams and have a ‘my way or the highway’ perspective, even if they lack experience or knowledge of an area.
