Pros

There are no Pros working with this company.

Cons

1) You are the worst organization I have worked so far. But writing this review so that someone can take a better decision for himself/herself. 2) Actually I don’t need to write a review as you are already at 2.7 which is lesser than Rubrik, Cohesity, Veritas and you name any backup and recovery company. 3) People in Druva take some pride by talking negative about the competitor products like Rubrik , Cohesity, Veritas, Clumio but by talking negative about organization and product you will never succeed. As to succeed as a company you need a DNA which you completely lack as there are very few people from the backup and recovery space currently working. As compared to the mentioned companies where there is talent from Storage, Virtualization, Databases, cloud computing etc.. 4) They are trying to build a good backup and recovery product with no expert from backup and recovery domain. 5) Lot of politics and favourism. 6) Forget about IPO you will not be a listed company even by 2025. As Phoenix and disaster recovery is not your space you are good with endpoint business. 7) Your hiring process is hopeless and it sucks. 8) If you care about work life balance and your personal time PLEASE DO NOT JOIN DRUVA. Employees are treated like slaves are requested to slog over weekends as well. Someone should highlight this to the Government Agency. 9) No proper planning for product features. The work starts on feature and abruptly stops without any reason. 10) No concrete future planning for product roadmap everything is haywire. 11) No career planning for growth path, no HR policies and no HR leadership. As Druva has hire and fire policy. A person hired in Feb is fired in June fail to understand what kind of strategy is this. 12) Druva is just heading towards constant destruction. 13) They think employees are morons no hike due to COVID they are saving so much on Food bills, electricity bills, Transport bills, housekeeping still no hike and the amount of work is same. On top of this in Druva you will get Promotions without Hike as well. 14) The management says people are copying their business ideas and setting up new companies. So why was Druva not able to take off with your ideas till date. 15) Druva has already lost some great talent over the last year. 16) If you are working with some good company which has a rich culture, please don’t join Druva just for getting that raise as the culture is toxic here and there is no future. 17) At the end the Druva management should also think about at what cost you are achieving success. As you are always in hiring and firing mode. 18) Druva till date have not even once won the Best place to work Award and the same is won by your competitors multiple times. 19) And don’t publish those case studies in social media that you replaced the X product you have not replace any product because of features but because you are cheap compared to the rest. Ask the customer to restore data which is more than a year older and then they will understand the pain.

Druva Response

We are sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience during your tenure in Druva. It is our constant endeavour to make Druva a better place to work. During COVID-19 situation, we decided to not reduce the workforce and instead delay the salary raises by 6 months. That decision was well supported by all Druvians and we are thankful to them. We are taking measures to make the WFH comfortable for all Druvians, be it allowing them to loan out company equipment or giving out WFH incentives to set up home offices. We believe in providing a good career opportunity for all our employees and merit based promotions/increments is one part of it. We are proud of our talented team of engineers with expertise in public cloud storage and large SaaS systems and our team has made Druva one of the fastest growing companies in the data protection space. Keeping up with the market trends we are required to make some course corrections in our business requirements, which is not new in a technology driven organisation. In case you are open for a conversation, please feel free to reach out to us so that we can share more insights on all the points mentioned by you.

Pros

good office location, some senior engineers, cant think anymore pros

Cons

lot of confusion driven by management, employees are treated like peons, cto likes building unusable things, lot of favoritism, you get promoted only if you are part of the club belonging to either cto, ceo or the veritas club
