It felt like walking on eggshells everyday there, but a good place to start your ESL career.
Pros
The centre has students from all over the world and from all walks of life. You can never run out of lesson ideas after getting to know them. Colleagues there are supportive too. You can take the LRT to KLCC station, and it is about a 15-minute walk to the centre, which is quite convenient.
Cons
I was forced to resign after a nasty experience with a middle-eastern student while I was there. The student demanded that I recheck and give him a grade that could enable him to skip a level. He did pass his paper to proceed to the next level, but it wasn't enough for him as he wanted to skip levels to graduate fast. It's unethical. He then shared fabricated news about me failing his paper to stall his progress with his other middle-eastern peers, and word got around fast. He told them to beware of me and complain to the principal if I appeared in their class. The upper management wasn't supportive on this matter, but I can see they tried. I was thrown around to different levels and classes to mitigate the issue, but it was too late. I had to be called to see the principal every day after work just for her to share the complaints thrown at me. She really wanted to be by my side, but alas, money was what drove this centre alive. It effected my metal health badly.
