Pros

Flexible working hours, some nice colleaugues.

Cons

Lack of management, supervision and help. Problem solving: ignoring and pretending nothing happened (some harrasment cases happened in the past and were not addressed - solution: closing down the group, relocate some workers to other groups, fire those who had short-term contracts, forbid to talk about what happened - is it even legal????). Certain senior researches kept despite being incompetent just because they have permanent positions. Money being wasted. People being sent to conferences not because they have something interesting to publish but because they are entitled to have "vacations paid" once a year resulting in a brainstorm meeting once a year "what shoud I write about in order to get a grant for a conference". Absolutely no perspective for future employment or at least getting contacts through external collaborations.
