Pros

Great charity initiatives, good offices.

Cons

Top leadership very disconnected from reality in retail in emerging markets. A weird belief that employees speaking different languages means inclusion. Too much travel with a very weak response to market realities. Frequent, insensitive, and poorly managed employee retrenchments. Low opportunities for career growth especially for female, non-U.K nationalities based in emerging markets.

Pros

Generous Benefits Hard working and highly skilled coworkers Passionate people Luxury brands Great offices and locations

Cons

Highly political at global level. rigid environment/bureaucracy/slow decisions Complex processes, redundant requests across the board Outdated reporting tools Markets input is disregarded. We are being asked for feedback. nothing changes. No clear expectations from the UK Used to care for their employees, now they just show the door Does not feel like a collaborative global organization.

Pros

Great brands, competitive benefits, PTO, charitable initiatives and beautiful new offices. A young company with excellent opportunities for growth. Perfect fit for self-motivated, driven professionals. We are still a small company (<200 ppl) so visibility is very high, great place to leave a personal mark.

Cons

Pace of change is very fast and most jobs are quite demanding. High tolerance to ambiguity, self motivation and determination are key if you want to be successful in Edrington.

Pros

Good perks, nice offices, chance to work for a global brand, looks good on the CV

Cons

The management is pretty clueless, and communication is particularly bad. I would say that most projects were ill-conceived, badly implemented and given to people with inadequate skills. HR is a very weak spot - the interview process was a bad experience and that should have tipped me off. The company seems is bad at choosing the right people and this makes it hard to get things done without outsourcing. There is a serious internal skill shortage and management itself is ineffective and insular. I found working here to be a frustrating experience and I'm glad to have done my time and moved on somewhere better.

Pros

Good people and charitable culture Premium brands Beautiful Offices 25 Day Vacation

Cons

Very low wages, pay significantly low compared to industry. Impossible to get a full bonus, not even delivering 100% of annual goals The team in Scotland has zero respect for teams in the markets, no ideas are valid when they come from outside Scotland. Company aspires to be a luxury company, but mediocrity of global brand management is evident, when things go wrong they just point the finger back at the markets. Mediocrity and underperformance is tolerated as long as you work for the global teams
