I have been working at Emplay full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good place to work at. Flexible timings. My Manager has a great attitude, supportive and helpful and even the peers. Great place for learning . Activities, games and parties are fun.

    Cons

It would be good if lunch was provided for employees. Salary hike must be more.

I have been working at Emplay full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Small company so it is easy to get visibility if one is diligent and works hard. Spot appreciation award are given. If you show initiative you can be included in extended leadership team even at a young age. Easy to get role changes. Innovation catalyst awards given. Company goes extra mile to retain high performers like unlimited work for home, salary match, mid year salary hike etc.

    Cons

People who want a more relaxed work life find it tough - as work is demanding. Communication is adhoc. Decisions are made on the fly. Also because top performers get more visibility, recognition, and flexibility - others feel left out and feel not equally treated resulting is unwanted gossips.

I have been working at Emplay full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great start up culture with lots of events - Cricket, new business parties, Christmas celebrations. Good scope to learn. Career planning discussions

    Cons

Nothing much. I am new to this company.

I have been working at Emplay full-time for less than a year

    Pros

A fun place to work. Lots of activities happen every now and then. Flexible timing is the best part. The lady who got fired doesn't work anymore.

    Cons

Substandard salary, total chaos in project execution, expected to work long hours and on weekends. The atomosphere is a little eerie.

I have been working at Emplay full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Innovation and ambition is good. Special awards if you innovate something new. My manager is good. Provided a lot of personal advice and gives hands on help. Matched industry salary. Offers role change if you ask. I am here only to support the company as a former employee is trying to unnecessarily blame the company and writing bad reviews after being fired.

    Cons

Any startup will have work pressure. So, work pressure is there but not distributed. Some people have it easy while others and senior management works hard.

I have been working at Emplay full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I was part of the very first team and had rejoined Emplay after few years of experience in a consulting firm. Emplay has always stayed ahead of the industry curve with continuous innovation, solutioning & also great support it offers to all employees. Pros: - Industry leading solutions. - Freedom to shape carrier with mentor-ship from the entire leadership. Flat organisation and supportive teams. - Ample learning and especially on the job learning that happens collectively in the team. - Employee first mindset. Leadership extends extra hand to help with any personal problems. - Balanced lives with good amount of WFH & leave policy.

    Cons

    - As most of the solutions are ahead of industry trends, one has to be passionate and cannot expect to be in the comfort-zone for very long. Change is constant!

I worked at Emplay full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - This is a great place to really understand workforce dynamics. - Engagement and team-building activities are a fun morale booster, HR really tries to make it inclusive and interesting, - A place that encourages lot of initiative and self-learning. - Ton of downtime between project deliverables which allows for additional self development. - Empowerment. Senior leadership at times can give you the responsibility of end-to-end execution of a project or deliverable. - Recognition as times leads to beneficial rewards (gift cards, vouchers, etc.). - Flexible timings and seemingly flat work-culture.

    Cons

    - My journey here started of a bit rocky, where both my manager and HR had no clue as to what work to assign me/which team to allocate me in. - Despite rigorous interview process, on-ground reality is far different, responsibilities are times can seem quite dull and unexciting. - There is at times, a clear and visible polarisation between teams despite an inclusive culture. - HR, despite best intentions is but a mouthpiece of the senior management. - Communication is compartmentalised within and between project/functional teams. - Extremely results-oriented. Output must be achieved even though it might be a messy, half-baked patchwork of concepts and implementation. - There is often at times no unity among senior leaders which can confuse the employees. - Certain employees get/have gotten preferential treatment. - Senior leaders can ping you at odd hours on weekends, to complete work requests. - Salaries are not the best.

An ex-employee, in front of the Bangalore labour officer, admitted to writing these reviews while requesting to be re-instated in the company. She was terminated for violation of state laws and tax laws that resulted in breach of company code of conduct, employment contract, and tri-party agreement. Following review guidelines, we are not mentioning the name of the employee and do not intend to harm her in any way. However, we need to protect our reputation and hence this response. For everyone who may be interested in our company, services or employment - we as a company provide a lot of flexibility to employees to take care of their personal situations but expect basic work ethics, integrity, and performance standards. But, policy and legal breaches that put the company at risk of non compliance with authorities are non-negotiable. We welcome reviews and use them as opportunities to learn and grow, not claiming to get everything right all the time.

I worked at Emplay full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    1. Got to learn, upgrade my skill set a lot during initial years. 2. Got recognition during initial period

    Cons

    1. Work became monotonous + lately I worked on projects for months till late night but few months later, it ended up in trash because they don't have a clear vision or clarity on what they want. 2. Pay and hike doesn't match with the role or years of experience and they tend to manipulate/convince people in the name of industrial standards and less revenue during last financial year and stuff like that. 3. CTC breakdown here looks gross in real. Variable is way high and fixed pay is less. Training, bonus, food pass all are from your CTC and show them as perks. 4. Cheap politics, policies & management. 5. Less leaves and WFH. 6. Catalyst goals are supposed to be voluntary. Stop sitting on each employees' head to start and finish catalysts just because there is no projects in your hand. 7. Always looking for free applications, software's, courses etc. 8. Employee exiting here is more than people getting hired
