Pros

If you have a heart for philanthropic work and assisting underrepresented communities and people to find their way back into the workforce or assisting students from elementary to post-secondary gain skills, certifications, or training needed to aid them in the "real world", you will love the initiatives that funnel through EmployIndy.

Cons

The workplace culture is non-existent. It can be ran as a dictatorship at times. The mission can be lost in translation by so many high priority initiatives or project that it's easy to lose sight of what is expected. What is portrayed externally is contradictory to what is actually happening internally.

Pros

The overall mission of helping Marion County residents and employers being connected is meaningful. Depending on what your title is and which department you are in, you can see the positive outcomes that are happening within the community. Additionally, the people are great, even if there has been some turnover recently. Being hybrid helps with good work/life balance. Good benefits.

Cons

It can sometimes be difficult to understand the work that other teams are doing and how they can help the work that you do in your position; you do have to make the effort to reach out to others. Work can sometimes be unorganized. Over the years, the DEIB efforts have decreased due to the capacity of work at the HR level.
