The worst IT job I've ever had - Network Engineer 360IT Partners Employee Review

Pros

If you're a masochist with IT experience, you'll learn a lot in a short amount of time. The company insurance policy will handle most of the cleanup when stress, mismanagement and lack of oversight results in expensive mistakes like client data loss. The four partners will then swear all of the underlings to silence while the client's $2000000 insurance policy covers < 40% of client damages. They offer health insurance but good luck if you're married and have children. The company claims to pay half but the rates of anything outside of the "Individual" plan are hellish to say the least. If you mention it to HR, they'll respond that executives "have the same insurance policy." Translation: It's not a problem for me so I'm not sure why it's a problem for you. If you're completely inept at your position, you'll be moved to another position (likely management) where your subordinates will be too intimidated to complain OR you'll be made a project manager.

Cons

Listening to partners feign relevance during Monday morning meetings. Being actively "encouraged" by the partners to write glowing reviews of the company so they can win business awards. (Best Places to Work, anyone?) Constant unending stress due to misconfigurations by incompetent engineers (too many hands in the pot) Little to no oversight by management Poor communication between staff despite having four different communication options. Little to no accountability held by anyone. You WILL be paid bottom-of-the-barrel. You WILL make mistakes ; and will likely be crucified for them. There's a couple of long-term employees and partners who will try to ingratiate themselves to you when you start working. It will be obvious who they are. If you have options, look elsewhere.
