Pros
Great interview process - structured and streamlined. The video recording part is fun and allows multiple attempts. Overall it's quite smooth and HR as well as hiring manager are both engaging.
Cons
The job they make you think you're applying to isn't what it seems at all - You won't be an employee but an independent contractor. I was lucky to find out before signing anything or giving them any of my actual details. After verbally accepting the offer, I was invited to an online orientation of the company to discuss the job further. Here are the discrepancies between this final orientation and what we've been led to believe: - Salary much lower: they boast a base salary + commission structure that promises a high annual salary, but not only are they paying monthly based on weekly performance, but the actual structure will also be far off what is promised. Basically - the salary is terrible. - Role is misrepresented: you're told by the company website and interviewer that you'll be engaging in B2B marketing consultancy, but what you'll end up doing is door-to-door selling for their client. - Car allowance: none. If you have a car and chooses to drive to the various neighbourhood that you're selling at, they will put other employees in your car and make them pay you £5. That's what they call car allowance. - international business trips: more like from England to Scotland, not outside of UK. They aren't even in London at the moment, and employees have to cover for expenses themselves.
